Anchorage House and Cottages are located in Hubbards, Nova Scotia on the beautiful South Shore Lighthouse Route. Only 35 minutes from Halifax, Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg, and only 40 minutes from the Annapolis Valley.
Our property provides a beautiful setting to relax and stay. While you relax, the children can enjoy our onsite playground or the In-ground heated pool. Enjoy the view from our private dock of scenic Hubbards Cove and the many boats which take shelter in its quiet waters or perhaps you would prefer to experience the cove from one of our row boats.
Walk to Hubbards Beach and awaken your senses to the salt air, the ocean waves and the sand beneath your feet..
Our village-like setting offers all the amenities to enjoy a night, a week or even longer. Great for family reunions or retreats, accommodating up to 70 people. Come, relax, and enjoy your stay in a cottage or room in the charming 19th Century home.

Century House Bed And Breakfast
This Lunenburg style home dates back to 1868 and was built by George Young the great grandson of Andreas Jung, an ardent Lutheran who, in 1750 at the age of 22, emigrated from the village of Ltzelinde in Germany to Nova Scotia.
Century House offers three bedrooms all with ocean views and private bathrooms and is an ideal base for exploring Nova Scotia’s south shore from Lunenburg to Peggy’s Cove and Halifax.
Walking trails and beaches are close by and for the convenience of guests arrangements can be made to have sea kayaks and bikes delivered to the house.
An extensive seaside garden is adorned with whimsical ceramic ornaments created and produced by Mieke at Century House Pottery. Each year Century House hosts a great fund-raiser for breast cancer in their garden - Blueberry Shortcake in an Artful Garden is a "don't miss" event for local and visiting art lovers.
