The hidden gem in this region are the tidal pools full of ocean life that is left behind when the tide recedes. The most accessible pools are found on the ocean side of route 333 to the east of Peggy's Point Road. These pools are teeming with a variety of sea creatures that live on the ocean floor - mussels, clams, starfish, amoeba, sea urchin, etc. They are great spots for the kids to explore when the tide is out.
