Our bed and breakfast is decorated in nautical theme. It is A travelers home away from home with an ocean view of scenic Shad Bay. We are open year round and only 20 minutes from Halifax and Peggys Cove. We offer private baths, ocean view, and private entrances in our four rooms, including a self-contained house keeping unit.

We have 3-day and weekly special rates, serve a full breakfast with homemade jams, and are minutes from golf courses, kayaking and boat tours. Our location is excellent for making day trips around the area and into Halifax.

Sand Castle Bed and Breakfast Canada Select

We are pleased to offer our oceanfront, totally self contained, full housekeeping, bed and breakfast suite, for nightly, weekly, or monthly accommodation.

The Sand Castle Bed and Breakfast is situated directly on the pristine Atlantic Ocean waters of the spectacular outer reaches of the Prospect Peninsula, a short half an hour drive from Halifax, along the lighthouse Route #333 to world famous Peggy's Cove.

For your comfort and relaxation, we feature a private, architecturally designed, environmentally sensitive, indoor non-smoking, and tastefully decorated, ocean front haven. We are nestled within a private and quiet, natural seaside garden.

For your privacy and enjoyment, our facility has one private suite with comfortable sleeping and living accommodations for up to five persons, complete with a private entrance. The suite consists of one private bedroom with a double bed, a spacious living room with a convertible, double futon sofa, and an additional single cot. The suite features a three piece bathroom with an oversize shower.

The spacious dining and living room offers a spectacular panoramic view of the Bay. Our property has a South Westerly exposure, featuring terrific sunsets. The full housekeeping kitchen is fully equipped with a counter top cooking center with all the ingredients for a healthy breakfast, which is supplied daily.

There is a sink, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, convection and microwave ovens, dishes, cutlery, etc. for your use and convenience. Housekeeping service is provided.

This luxurious suite boasts wood floors, a private deck and has full service, colour cable television, stereo radio and cassette player, propane BB-Q, and an air tight wood stove.

We also feature our own private sand beach and wharf.
